Boy Meets girl review

I have just finished a book by Joshua Harris called Boy meets girl: say hello to courtship. it is a wonderful book that i enjoyed reading and i don't mind reading it again in the future. I recommend it to all young people in the Lord, those who are single and those who are married as well.

Its a great testimony of a Godly courtship that later led to marriage between the write and his wife. It talks widely of courtships with different endings because of different reasons. It was through this book that i learnt that courtship is always successful, whether it ends in marriage or not because the main idea behind courtship is to see if you can get married to your partner, live with your partner after marriage, just how compatible you are with the person you are courting.

Joshua reveals courtship as another level of friendship, not a sexual indulgence. he defines courtship as "a relationship between a man and a woman who are actively and intensionally together to consider marriage". He continued to explain that courtship draws on the principles and priority of sexual purity. From His definition of Courtship i picked out that courtship is a relationship that which a man and a woman engage in when they have intension of marriage. But these days we see a lot of people especially youth indulging in relationships and calling them courtships but without the intension of marriage thus totally dissolving the true meaning of courtship.

Another thing that caught my attention about Boy meets girl is that Joshua clearly explained that courtship is a relationship that has a very clearly stated purpose of finding out if God will have the courting persons marry. This means there can never be courtship if God is not involved. Any courtship should be guided by Biblical principles and whatever the LORD says at the end should be done, since the whole idea was to hear from him.

There are more things in this book and i highly recommend it for everyone,young old, its useful to everyone. I believe you can get it in any Christian book store near you or even order it online. The author is Joshua Harris.
